Miles and Sharyl joined me today for some winter steel,Miles got his first steelhead in the third cast of the morning. Nuke eggs and buggers were what we had best success with..The bite is a bit slow so multiple cast and patience pays off.

Moby, a.ka. Matthew Meek proceded to rail chrome on the muskegon river today. Sun was out and the crown warmed us up. We threw speys, indi's and chuck and duck and everything had their place. Decievers nuke eggs and egg sucking leaches did the best.

After spending all those days on the river guiding, it is nice to get some time to yourself.,

My dad with a nice Muskegon River steelhead.

Sometimes the most obvious spots are the best, most people don't fish them.
